Meet The Team

Our terroir, or defining characteristics, encapsulate the overall essence of passion, camaraderie, and human connection. It started as a family tradition with our founder’s grandmother always leaving an empty place setting for “something” she called Red Feather at the dinner table. This is to celebrate the tradition of hospitality and inclusion. The empty seat is left open just in case a weary traveler, family member, or friend knocks on the door, so there would be a place for them to join. We instill this sense of hospitality in our team and extend it as well to our customers.

Mark Medura


Pennsylvania native, Founder/CEO Mark Medura has 12+ years’ experience within the alcohol beverage industry. He wanted to further his passion for beer, providing hospitality and entertaining from an early start. From backwoods festivals to having a few friends over for a ‘low-country boil’, Mark transformed his passions into a career. Level Crossing Brewing Company was born from this vision and desire.

Chris Detrick

Head Brewer

Hailing from Pennsylvania, Chris Detrick is a founding employee bringing his vast knowledge of beer history & brewing to Level Crossing. Coming from a photo-journalism background, Chris made the leap to join Mark and help start Level Crossing Brewing Company. It was love at first sip for Mark & Chris.

Christine Patterson

Accounting Manager

Christine Patterson’s vast experience in accounting, specifically within the alcohol beverage industry proved to be a great fit for Level Crossing Brewing Company. Her passion for whiskey, beer, and rock ‘n roll fits perfectly into Level Crossing’s mantra.

Aaron Grove

General Manager

Aaron Grove came to Level Crossing via I-80 from Pennsylvania. Yes, another PA transplant! Aaron’s beer knowledge and excellent customer service skills translate into a finely-tuned taproom where customers always arrive & leave with a smile.
